The two-day educational events, which focus on HTP boiler and water heating products, are being held at Rocky Mountain Integrated Solutions’ newly refurbished showroom and training facility, located inside company headquarters in Bluffdale, Utah, a suburb of Salt Lake City. Developed and presented by HTP Western Regional Dale Townsend, with assistance from Rocky Mountain Integrated Solutions personnel, each training session will accommodate from eight to 10 attendees. Six other independent reps for HTP throughout the 10-state Western region will also help recruit contractors for the series, which runs through August. Classes will also be held throughout the winter heating season, but on a less-frequent basis.

Originally opened in February 2004, the 22,000-square-foot Rocky Mountain Integrated Solutions facility was recently upgraded with a new cooling system as well as a new solar thermal system, in recognition of the rapidly increasing popularity of green products. Inside, the remodeled showroom-sales and contractor-training facility offers an assortment of new heating equipment furnished by Heat Transfer Products. The HTP products on display include the following:

  • Phoenix Solar Water Heater (Model PH199-119S);
  • Munchkin Stainless Steel Condensing Boiler (Model 199M);
  • Munchkin Contender Condensing Gas-Fired Heater (Model MC50);
  • Two SuperStor Ultra Stainless Steel Indirect Fired Water Heaters
    (Model SSU-20 and SSU-20B).

“The entire 30-foot wall of our training room is lined with this equipment, along with products from two of our other lines – Innovex Technologies and Unico Inc.,” says Darren Foster, president and owner of Rocky Mountain Integrated Solutions.

But the current star attraction, situated on the facility’s rooftop, is HTP’s latest innovation: a pair of 30-Tube Solar Collectors, suitable for either residential or commercial applications. Both of the 80-inch x 86.4-inch collectors are operational, meeting a portion of the building’s space-heating requirements and all of its domestic hot water needs, according to Foster. “These fully functional products allow contractor-attendees to enjoy an in-depth, hands-on training experience at our facility,” he explains. “Our goal is to make them experts in demonstrating and selling HTP products to their customers.”

The summer training sessions are being offered on either Monday and Tuesday or Thursday and Friday. Contractors interested in participating or seeking more information on HTP products should contact Dale Townsend at dale.townsend@htproducts.com.
